Centre for Medieval Studies in Lublin

The Center for Medieval Studies (Polish: Centrum Studiów Mediewistycznych), established in 2022, is affiliated with the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland. It aims to provide a platform for large-scale, multiyear research projects that are challenging or impossible to carry out with the current grant funding options. It operates as an independent unit of the university. The research teams at the CMS comprise medievalists from all over Poland and abroad. The CMS cooperates with domestic and foreign institutions.
The CMS Academic Board comprises 15 renowned scholars. The regular members are the President of the Polish Historical Society and the President of the Polish Medievalists Committee. The Board’s responsibilities include, among others, evaluating research projects conducted at CMS.

More details can be found on the CMS website.
