The Archive of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in Kraków

The Archive of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in Kraków (Polish: Archiwum Nauki Polskiej Akademii Nauk i Polskiej Akademii Umiejętności w Krakowie) is a specialized archive-focused material related to the history of science and culture. It was established in 2002, as a result of cooperation between the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in Kraków. Its archive resources consist of both materials belonging to the state archive resource and materials that are property of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in Kraków. 
The main purpose of the Archive is to serve both the academic community and the public. Its statutory responsibilities include collecting, safeguarding, cataloging, and making accessible archival materials, including records of associations and scientific institutions, and personal archives of notable figures in science and culture. It also aims to expand the archival resources of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in Kraków, conduct research and engage in publishing and informational activities that promote its resources and achievements.
